Course Descriptions
50/50:

This class will always keep you guessing. You will spend 30 minutes doing instructor’s choice of cardio and 30 minutes sculpting your muscles with weights. A great introductory class for everyone, what do you have to lose? It’s a 50/50 shot.

Beginner’s Ride:  

Learn the basics of the SPINNING® class while enjoying a nice relaxing ride down easy street.  This 40 minute class will teach you all the things you need to know to get you started down the right path.

Body Challenge:

A class to challenge your whole body using high intensity interval training, and burning more fat than your regular strength workout. Great for both beginners or for seasoned athletes because this class challenges you at your own level. Weights are also used during the second portion of class to increase toning and fat burning, ending the total body workout with a core work.

Dance Fitness:

An energetic, upbeat, addictive aerobics class combining the dance moves you have come to enjoy with the top hit music you love.  For beginners to the advanced, you will be singing to the music, as you do the moves to your level.  Dance Fitness is a challenging and fun cardio workout.

Gentle Yoga:

Restore your mind and body using yoga basics to increase your strength, balance, and flexibility with gentle stretching and mediation. This is a great class for beginners and practiced yogi's alike.

Pilates:  

A total body workout that combines core strength with every exercise. This class is designed to lengthen the muscles through the use of weights, bands, Pilates Ring and your own body weight. This class focuses on the mind body connection, but is completely different than a typical Yoga class. 

Plyometric Power:

If you want better balance, increased speed and more agility, this class integrates fun and challenging plyometric drills along with some jump rope intervals. Add this class into your weekly routine for a high-intensity, calorie-blasting workout.

Step Fusion:  

This class is guaranteed to keep you guessing!  This class fuses your traditional step class but you could be using 1, 2, 3 or even 4 benches.

Rock Solid:  

A full body sculpting class working all your major muscle groups guaranteed to make your body rock solid.

SilverSneakers® Classic:

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SPINNING®:  

Come ride your bicycle with us.  This is a 55 minute workout on a stationary bike.  Our instructors will take you through various rugged terrains to make you sweat.  This class allows you to choose your speed and resistance. Heart rate monitors are encouraged but not required.  All SPINNING® participants must bring a towel and water to class.  

Senior Stretch:

This 15 minute class is designed for older individuals that need work on flexibility. Spend a relaxing time stretching major muscle groups in a comfortable environment. Stretches will incorporate chairs so individuals don’t have to get down on the floor. 

Yoga Flow:  

This is a full body work-out that will challenge your strength and endurance, increase core power, flexibility, and help relieve stress with restorative poses and meditation.

Zumba:

Join the Party! Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

Zumba Gold:

This class is designed for the active older adult population or the true beginner participant. 

Zumba Tone:

This class teaches you how to blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. You'll learn how to use weighted, maraca-like Zumba toning sticks to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone all the target zones.

Water Aerobics

The Clearfield Aquatic Center offers 27 water exercise classes each week including deep water aerobics, liquid moves, aqua fit, Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program, senior water exercise classes, and silver splash. Our water workouts are safe, fun and promise results. There is no additional charge for water exercise classes with the price of admission or with a membership.

Personal Training

Reach your fitness goals with our personal trainers. One-on-one training sessions are for all ages and experience levels. A structured program will be developed to help you reach your personal fitness goals safely using cardiovascular exercise, weight training, and stretching. Whether you want to get healthy or stay fit, to the athlete/sport-specific, your trainer will be with you through your entire workout to ensure exercise effectiveness and safety. Don't want to train alone? Come with a friend and do couple's training. Cardio and Weight Rooms

The weight room features Cybex resistance machines and free weights to target and tone your body. The upstairs has our cardio floor which has treadmills, elliptical and stationary bikes, and row machines to get your heart pumping and the calories burning. Patrons must be at least 16 years of age to use the weights and the fitness center without adult supervision.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Friday 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Rules:

You must be 16 years or older to use the fitness center or weight room. Individuals 14 and older may use fitness center and weight room when accompanied by an adult during non-peak hours. Anyone misusing the equipment will be asked to leave the fitness center or weight room. Please be courteous of others when working out and wipe down equipment after use. Please no food or gum in the fitness center or weight room and liquids need to be in a spill proof container. Must have appropriate clothing to use fitness center and weight room and inappropriate language will not be allowed.
